      • Tripoli – Philip’s former port-of-call, a connecting hub between Western Europe and much of the eastern world.

      • Athens – Caught in the crossfire between the Papal States, the Holy Roman Empire, the Russian Empire, the Spanish Empire, and the Ottoman Empire, Athens (and, by extension, many of the Greek states) finds themselves in the uncomfortable positions of trying to pick a side, while simultaneously feeling unwelcome by all. A small-yet-bustling town, the people of Athens struggle daily to feel relevant in a quickly-advancing world.

    • Russian Outlying Territories
      • Odessa – Previously Hocabey of the Ottoman Empire, recently gifted to Russia. A small trading town on the Northern coast of the Black Sea.

      • Batavia – The V.O.C.’s “home away from home,” their second-largest city outside of Amsterdam. (Modern-day Jakarta)
      • Christmas Island – An otherwise deserted tropical island, used by Ju-Long as a penal colony of sorts, home to exiles and outcasts.
    • India
      • Bombay – A heavily Dutch-dominated city that has seen a sharp rise in violent crime following the recent depletion of the Orichalcum mines. (Modern-day Mumbai)
  • The Middle East
    • Egypt
      • Alexandria – The largest seat of trade and learning in the Ottoman Empire, Alexandria is famed worldwide for both its library and its lighthouse. Most recent news puts Alexandria in flames, having been attacked by mysterious, otherworldly creatures.
      • Cairo – Farrah’s home town, seat of the Al-Azar merchant family, and one of the few remaining strongholds of the fading Ottoman Empire. Most recent news puts Cairo in flames, having been attacked by mysterious, otherworldly creatures.
      • Suez – Base of the Suez Portage, this town exists as little more than a stop-along-the-way for most travelers and traders. It is a crucial component of the Amsterdam-Batavia trade line, and many prudent investors and traders have lately taken to recognizing its value.
    • Turkey
      • Çannakkale – A small port town on the Thracian coast, just west of Constantinople.
      • Constantinople – The northernmost point of the modern Ottoman Empire, a bustling center of trade, culture, and science. Many of the Ottoman’s elite live here at least part of the year. (Modern-day Istanbul)
  • The New World
    • The West Indies
      • Nassau – Near where Philip was taken, this thriving town in the Caribbean is central to the V.O.C.’s operations in the West Indies.
  • Western Europe
    • Holy Roman Empire
      • Vienna – Saul’s place of birth, a hotly contested city in the ongoing Hohenstaufen-Habsburg feud. Currently the capital of the Holy Roman Empire.
    • Iceland
      • Reykjavik – Avinnia’s former home and capital of Iceland, a small resupply port along the Northern trade routes between Europe and the New World. Run by the Elon family.
    • The Netherlands
      • Amsterdam – Home base for the V.O.C., viewed by many as the capital of the world, and the place of Alan’s awakening.
